First, we’ll backtrack to August. Eli swallowed a penny and we were…um…watching for it to come out. After a week we still didn’t see it. The pediatrician figured it wasn’t a problem since there was no blood in the stool, and he could breathe fine, but said if our insurance would cover it, that we should get an x-ray. I called insurance and they would cover it 100%. Luckily it appears the penny had passed through his system without issue. This is Eli getting his x-ray. Afterwards he cried because he didn’t want to leave the doctor.
And if you’ve read my blog for long you know I always like to post pictures of my father-in-law, Jess, sleeping whenever and wherever he happens to fall asleep. Here he is on a business trip with Jared.
In September after my trip to St. George with my mom I must have been really tired when I put Eli down for his nap because Jared captured this:
Now back to October.
Patch loves laying in the sun.
Eli has spent a lot of time with his friend Cameron.
Jared and Halle went on a date to Boondocks, and Eli was incredibly jealous, so I took him to Home Depot for their kids workshop. Lucky us it was a special safety day and he was so excited.
Janae’s family moved down here for a job change for Jason, so we’ve been spending a lot more time with them. We all have passes to the zoo.
There was a big game against Stanford and we won, which apparently was a big deal.
My mom’s friend was fostering a dog that had puppies, and she wanted to socialize the puppies with kids.
Eli and Halle started swim lessons.
We went to This Is the Place park for their Halloween celebrations.
We went to Lagoon for Frightmares.
On October 20 we celebrated the birthdays of my dad, Eli, and Hayden. Eli was SO excited for it to be HIS birthday cake.
My mom brought her dogs to the celebration along with their costumes. It was difficult to get a picture of them.
Patch LOVES the heater vents in the winter.
Jared visited The Alamo while on a business trip.
I love watching this little man sleep.
Eli and a couple of his friends went to Classic Skate to celebrate Eli’s birthday.
Janae has Liam in her lap on this slide and she narrowly missed sliding her feet into my face.
That night I realized I had two free “3 hours unlimited play” passes that were expiring that week, so I took Emma and Halle to play. They had SUCH a blast, and I was surprised that 3 hours actually wasn’t long enough. In the inflatable area there is a foam pit and it’s a really high jump. The girls were a little scared.
On Eli’s birthday he got a wiggle scooter.
And then we went to Jared’s parents’ house to watch a football game and have cupcakes. Jess fell asleep as usual.
Do the rest of you take pictures of your kids sleeping? He’s just so cute!
On the 30th we went to carve a pumpkin my mom gave Eli that she grew in her garden. We opened it up and it was pure green mold. There was much gagging.
On Halloween Eli hit his head on the piano bench. He got it glued, but luckily no stitches.
We went to Halle’s Halloween parade at school.
Time to trick or treat!
We hurried and bought new pumpkins and got them carved just in time to go trick or treating. Mine (Eli’s) is on the right and is supposed to be a cat.
