April 2014

Jared and Joan insisted this plant was dead.  I kept watering it then forgot about it.  Then on April 1 I took this picture and sent it to Jared.  He thought it was an April Fools joke and that I had somehow created and attached leaves. IMG_0232

This is why we tell the kids not to throw pillows and blankets on the floor.  They get hairy from the dogs.IMG_0234

Jason and Janae (Janaeson is what we call them) bought a Groupon for this rock climbing place, then Erica and Brad were here for Brad’s dermatology rotation for medical school, and the Groupon was still available.  Prepare for lots of butt pictures.

It took us a VERY long time last fall to pull all of our tulip and lily bulbs, pull them apart, and re-plant the best of the best.  We’re VERY proud of the results and won the yard of the month award in our neighborhood!

March 2014

As always, I have to backtrack to pictures we’ve found on our phones from previous months, so first we go back to December, January, and February.

We FaceTime Jared a lot during the day, usually for lunch.  Here Eli is building Jared a tower.

I really hope everyone else takes a many pictures of their kids sleeping as I do.

Jared being hilarious on Space Mountain.  I’d like to crop this and make this his Facebook profile picture.IMG_0051

Our final night in San Diego.  We went to bed nice and early so we could get up early for our drive home, but then Halle woke us up at 10pm throwing up.  Not great in a hotel that doesn’t have any sort of house keeping during the night.  The front desk person was nice enough to bring us extra towels though.  We left an apologetic note with a nice tip for the maid.IMG_0056

Now that Jared is the one working he tries to take the kids on a date each month.  In January he took Eli to a Utah basketball game.

We got Maui Chill after the daddy daughter dance at Halle’s school.  I took Eli on a date to Seven Peaks then we all met for a treat after.IMG_0093IMG_0076

Eli has asthma.  It’s not bad in that he doesn’t get full blown asthma attacks while playing.  However, he does cough while sleeping (a very good indication of asthma) and when he gets a cold he has a hard time breathing and has had to go to the ER three times.  All if his ER trips were in August/September, so I thought maybe there was an allergy trigger as well.  We took him to get tested.  He doesn’t have any typical grass, mold, pollen, dog, cat type allergies, which is good to know.  He’s just plain asthmatic.  With one puff morning and night of Flovent the coughing has subsided and we haven’t been to the ER in a year, or needed Albuterol during illness for about 6 months now.  Phew.IMG_0097

Now on to March.

We call him Mr. Safety.  The people in our culdesac like to race into their driveway it seems, so we put him in the middle of the road so they have to slow down to go around him.IMG_0221

Finally warm enough for Patch to bask in the sun.IMG_0216IMG_0217

Found Eli on the counter playing my iPad one morning.DSC02860IMG_0215

Looking back it appears March was a very sleepy month.
