July was another fun and busy month. When we got home from our cruise on July 6 my sister and her family were already in Utah. My mom was watching Halle and Eli at her house, so she had a full house with 6 kids sleeping there! We took Cameron to our house to have a sleepover, then headed to Snowbird on July 8.

Jared’s grandpa and aunt were in town at the same time, so we met up with him at the Curiosity Museum on July 9th.
Then it was back to my family for a birthday party. We have some cousin birthdays in July that we celebrated at the tumbling gym where Paulette teaches.

At my mom’s house Halle tried on some old dresses of mine. Her baptism was coming up and we wanted to see how she looked in my old baptism dress.

Next up, Lake Powell! We headed out on July 11 and, again, took Emma with us. We love having her around, and Halle and Eli didn’t spend the 5 hour drive fighting in the backseat.

Janae had her own dance party on the house boat.

That was just day 1. The next day Halle and Emma had a private dance party on the giant “tube.” They did a dance to Dynamite for their school dance festival at school, and were excited when we played it on the boat.

Emma found this bat swimming/drowning in the water under the swim deck at the back of the boat and saved his life. He hung out on the boat all day, and finally flew away around 2am the next morning.

This giant “tube” is pretty much impossible to flip or fall off of, so we have a blast on it and feel safe with the little kids.

Halle likes tubing, but prefers going a bit slower. Emma, on the other hand, wanted to go fast.

Jory is just crazy.

Isn’t my hair awesome?

There were these little fish everywhere, and if you held real still they would come pick all of the dead skin off of you and it tickled.

That as day 2, and now for the last day.

Jess let me drive for about 3 seconds, which was terrifying. It was windy, and I don’t know how anyone controls these giant boats even though it’s going like 2mph. Again, with my awesome hair. You don’t do your hair when you’re at Lake Powell.
Time to drive home…in silence.
