Eli was reading through some old blog books and it renewed my committment to
blogging. The kids can look through pictures on the computer, but telling the
stories with the pictures, or at least giving them a caption helps so they know
how old they were and what was going on. So even though I’m almost two full
years behind, I want to catch up, even if nobody else reads it that’s fine by
me.
David being cute at almost 1 year old learning to hold his bottle, stand up
with assistance, kiss, and talk on the phone.

Thanksgiving Point Curiosity Museum has a fun water works area. We learned we
should take a change of clothes if we’re going to let David play in the baby
section. You’re not allowed to remove their clothes.

Eli lost his first tooth 4.21.16.

Eli’s friend, Max Howells, was diagnosed with meduloblastoma, a form of brain
cancer. As he was going through radiation he just wanted to go swimming so we
offered to give his parents a break and take him to the city pool. He didn’t
last long before he was cold and hungry and wanted his dad, but he seemed to
enjoy our short time there. This was David’s first time splashing at the
pool.

We went to Moab for spring break and took Emma Rushton 4/7-4/9. This was our
first time using our hiking backpack. David loved it (and still does almost 2
years later).
Our first hike was to Landscape Arch, the largest arch in the world!

From this same trail (Devil’s Garden) you can go to Pine Tree and Tunnel
Arches.

Emma had a massive dinner that night at a Mexican restaurant.

The next day was Corona Arch. On the drive to it there are some awesome
Native American drawings. This was one of my favorite hikes we’ve ever done in
Moab. It’s not in Arches National Park.

Then off to the sand dunes.

The final day was just a quick walk to Double Arches which just takes a
couple of minutes to walk to, but is beautiful. Then we headed home.

At home it was back to toe eating fun.

Eli was painting one day and was so excited to show me that he had painted
the Lord of the Rings ring! I love that he put CTR.

This is a story he wrote in preschool.

Sunday naps are the best!

Mozzie cuddles are also pretty awesome.

At the end of the month the weather started to warm up enough to go out for a
walk (even if it was raining) and go to the park and bask in the sun.
